Finishing Up

Once the case made it back home from Germany in one piece, I got my hands on three Lamptron FC6 Fan Controllers with red LED displays, which would look much more in keeping with the rest of the mod rather than the blue-green Scythe controllers.


I was hoping that they would drop straight in to the original bezels, but this sadly wasn't the case. As such, I had to cut new bezels and have them powder coated to match the rest of the case.


Time really was running out now, as the case has been entered into the Cooler Master 2011 Case Mod Competition, and I had to get some final pictures taken and submitted before the closing date. Again, it was all touch and go at this point.


However, not only did I get my pictures in on time, but the case went on to win first place in the Full Tower Mod category. This really was the icing on the cake for me, given that the quality of the competition had been so incredibly high this year.


So, this really was an epic journey from start to finish, with some nerve-wracking moments and deadlines met, all of which will have undoubtedly given me a few more grey hairs. However, I'm very happy with the finished product. I would just like to give a final massive vote of thanks to all the sponsors that were involved and helped make it happen, including Intel, EVGA, Cooler Master, Bitspower, Phobya, MIPs and everyone else who gave a helping hand in some way.
